null is usually used in information systems (most likely in this case a SQL server of whatever flavor to contain the data displayed on the site) that’s means nothing, invalid, no data etc.

So in this case, that particular field of data for the page contains no data an thus returns “null”

I supply IT services to two vet clinics and I used to think the same. After a long business relationship with one of them just last weekend I was having a discussion with the owner while replacing his X-Ray PC. Looking at his bills from the vendors he uses for imaging, labs, medications, licenses for software that runs the practice the bills added up over 100k just for that month. The hourly rate charged (so what he actually makes and not what he is paying vendors that is passed into the patient) is actually lower than my hourly rate for IT support and I don’t have to pay 8 employees like he does.

Not saying there are not vets out there living it up but the costs are much much higher than I personally thought. Also anything after hours is always a premium. IT, HVAC, plumbing ect. People value their time off and charging higher rates for nights and weekends are more of a deterrent for things that are not an emergency.

Spent a few years there on and off as a young child and teen for self mutilation and “suicide attempts”. I say that in quotes because it was just for attention and a way to get out of the group homes I was in as I found Butler to be much more home like and enjoyed it more than a group home. I have a lot of good memories there to be honest. Staff and fellow patients alike. While those issues are far far behind me and my mental health is very solid at this stage in my life (this was over 20 years ago) I’m glad to hear it’s still just as warm as it was. Well, except the times I would flip out and get strapped to the bed and shot with Benadryl in the ass to calm me down or thrown in the LSE room (Low Stress Environment aka padded cell) but that was on me not the staff or facility
