That’s the part that confuses me the most - if what I think happened, happened…. Then gramps has been this way the entire time I knew him. And at a point I guess I have to wonder if it even makes a difference
But if that was him outside my window, and not the wind or my mind playin’ tricks… what the hell did he want

I’ll put it this way - I don’t think ancestry.com is exactly gonna give me a fully accurate picture of my family tree and genetics

That’s exactly what I thought at first, but who knows if the thing somehow molded itself to look more human when it found a head it “liked”… gramps did say when it came to his window, it sounded more like Simon than it had sounded like Gertie

I never tried to worry too much about even gramps’ most outlandish stories - true as they might’ve been. All the years I grew up in Vernon, nothin’ horrible like that every happened to me.
But now…

I don’t even know what to think… Gramps never lied, but it’s not like the story ended with him getting his own head ripped off.
But I just knew I wouldn’t have liked what I saw if I pulled back that curtain.
Like I said in another comment, the whole thing worries me for my own blood and my own family tree…
