Fwiw, Connecticut DEEP says it’s not from Ohio, as the winds are coming up from the southwest. This article says it could be dust from Oklahoma maybe?

Edit: The article also posits that the derailment happened a few weeks ago, so the atmospheric pollution should have dissipated by now

Reply to Where to vote by eddie964

-Polls are open until 8PM today, and as long as you’re in line at 8 you will be allowed to cast your ballot

-If you’re eligible but not registered, you can register in-person if you bring photo ID and proof of residence with you (note: not sure where in New Haven to do this, probably at city hall w/the registrar of voters)

-If you have disabilities or are homeless, see this link for more details on accommodations: https://portal.ct.gov/SOTS/Election-Services/Voter-Information/Where-and-how-do-I-vote

-If you’re wondering who is on the ballot today in New Haven, we have mostly Federal (Senate and House) and state officials (Governor, Senate, assembly, and several other offices like Secretary of State and attorney general). Also there is a local probate judge race, and a referendum to allow early voting in the future

I have a friend who lives in a nice complex in downtown West Haven—roomy apt for much less than I’m paying for in East Rock. I would def check around downtown as well.

Good luck with your studies!
