Reply to Has anyone moved out of CT because of seasonal depression? I enjoy CT but I’m only happy during June- august. by [deleted]
I have SAD but I don’t want to live anywhere else. Get outside and walk/exercise no matter how cold it is. The temperature doesn’t matter—it’s about getting sunlight. You can buy a lightbox. Be sure to take a vitamin d3 supplement and consider going on anti depressants for a few months. Honestly, I would be much more depressed living in a red state.

I put everything away on Tuesday. My fault now if it snows. If we do get snow it won’t be much and it will melt quickly. You heard it here first. Lol

I’m a native nutmegger (person from CT) and I love living here, but it would not be the first place I would recommend if you have never been to the US before. It’s called New England so you may want to go further afield to experience a more unique destination. Can you go anywhere in the US? Are you interested in nature/outdoors or cities/culture or both?

CT is very accepting. And by that I mean no one cares what you wear.

Reply to I-95 in CT ranks as most congested corridor in USA beating out LA; Merritt Parkway also makes top 10 by celticnutjob
No way. Lifelong Fairfield County resident here. I visited LA and it was so much worse. Didn’t matter what time of day, we were always stuck in traffic. Air quality was horrible. We actually cut our time in LA short to get the f***out of there and go to San Diego.

Redding (bedroom community) and Bethel (business district) are affordable and close to many trails. NRVT is being built now.
