For vaccines there is a effect called non specific effects which describes the positive or negative protections against infections that was not the target of the vaccine.
This effect also appears for infections but the studies are more limited since you can’t really do a double blind.
Multiple studies have indicated that the common cold provided some protection against Covid.
A detrimental effect is also possible but I don’t have an example at the moment.
