Reply to How do you feel about the book Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice? by Conscious_Goose2256
I read it quite a while ago but I remember enjoying it. The movie captures the characters fairly well, however the events of the story play out differently from the movie and having the inner voice of Louis telling the story adds more depth.

Reply to ELI5- How do people find lost or unknown relatives through DNA if the lost relative has never taken a DNA test? by Future_Train_9723
The most likely explanation is degrees of separation. The daughter never took a test but one of her children probably did, which would also carry evidence of his DNA.
EDIT: also, just because she says she never took a DNA test doesnt mean her DNA has never been tested. DNA tests are not new, easy-access tests are.

Its the contrast, and live action film requires a lot more color correction by using lighting and lenses. The reason it wasnt all shows is because not all shows COULD. It wasnt as easy as slapping a filter on it.

More saturated colors means that more of the image is discernable even if it is not as clear. The same reason many early cartoons had thicker outlines

That is only partially correct. They have similar range but the quality of the image, not to mention the broadcast itself, factored into how the images were colorized. Thus, older shows DO have more/darker color.

Depending on the show, they were colored differently to fit tv formats. Because of the way TVs worked, the brightness and graininess had to be factored into how the pictures looked. Now that we can see them in higher definition the images look saturated with color.

A bit blunt but true. You need space to surf, even if you have good control, and waves are only so big.
