Too bad, looks like they do not serve Canada.

At that time, most sexual stuff in most situations would be considered shameful. There was even some societal taboo about enjoying sex with your spouse.
The characters are not married, that’s bad. And they are from different social classes, that’s bad.

You can use Excel on your phone.
But Goodreads and StoryGraph are both good options.

Piranesi was good as well! They have a similar otherworldly feel to them but other than that they are very different books. I hope you enjoy this one too!

Just curious, do you also never rewatch a movie or tv show?
I see people comment that rereading books is a waste of time, but more than a few of them would rewatch their favourite movies, as if it’s a vastly different concept.

Do you ever reread books you didn’t like in school to see if you’ll like them more now?

I once read a book, finished it, took 2 days to try and digest it, then read it again. It destroyed me emotionally and I felt like I needed to read it again to move on. It is now my favourite book. I have read it a further two times since the first two. I will never get tired of reading it.
The Wild Girl by Kate Forsyth, if anyone is curious. It’s about the Grimm Brothers and their efforts to collect and compile their famous fairy tales, with one of their neighbours/family friends as the protagonist.

I haven’t read either of those books, but Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell has wicked footnotes. It was almost my favourite thing about that excellent book.

There’s also ‘Good Faeries Bad Faeries’ by the same. Love these ones!

Love this. Someone else in the thread said they are known as “books for people who don’t read books” and to me, that’s such a snotty, condescending concept. It’s baffling that people spend their time - their valuable, non-renewable time - thinking such shitty thoughts about things and people that don’t even actually affect them.
