I tried calling La Luna a few different times to schedule an appointment after hearing good things. They asked me a bunch of questions about my hair type and so on, and told me they'd have to have someone call me another day to schedule. Never received a call back, and was told the same thing every time I tried to phone them. I have extremely coarse, dense 2c/3a hair, so idk if it was related to my hair type or what, but it put a bad taste in my mouth. I only saw white girls with perfect shiny smooth hair on their site, so I assumed it was because I wasn't their "ideal" client type/aesthetic lol

Great area if you're an avid outdoorsman/hiker/etc. I forget how breathtakingly beautiful the Ozarks can be. But I'd stay out of city limits, or at least the more populated areas in Springfield. Namely, the drivers are terrible and Springfield is now considered the number 4 most dangerous college town in the nation link. Also the lowest wages in Missouri . The entire 417 area code is infamous for its meth problem. If you're dead set on the area, look for housing in Nixa, Ozark, etc. Personally I'd choose Texas any day, but Springfield weather is a bit more temperate

Yes! My family is estranged from one another and does nothing for the holidays. I was always the first to volunteer, because otherwise I'd be sitting at home on the couch lusting over the Thanksgiving meals everyone else posts on social media. Usually work would cater in Thanksgiving food, and time-and-a-half never hurts. Now I have a significant other and his family has multiple Thanksgiving meals, so I'm at the other side of the spectrum trying to get multiple days off haha.

Upstart, SoFi, Best Egg, and Happy Money are all solid options IMO. I've had loans with all of them before (still have open ones with Upstart and Happy Money), and the rates were quite good for my credit at the time, with a score similar to yours. All four are online, so no need to go to a physical institution. All disbursed the check within 2-3 days max, and I believe one or two were overnight.

Good for you, but you're in the minority. 2020 average yearly income in Springfield was $23,679. If following the guideline of paying no more than 1/3 of income toward housing, that's $592 a month not including utilities, pet rent, etc.
Also, it's not like Springfield and surrounding areas aren't already inundated with luxury apartment housing (Heer's, The Edge, Silverleaf, The Preston, Cambium, Farmers Park, Quarry Town, Township 28, Chesterfield Lofts, 60 West in Republic, etc etc etc.)

Looks like the 2 bedroom aren't. Also occupancy doesn't mean that the residents arent scraping by to pay the rent. There's a shortage of affordable housing in this area, I have many peers who are stuck renting for the time being because the affordable houses in decent neighborhoods are being bought up by investors

Right, Quarry Town looks like an institution from the outside and isn't much better inside. And they start at $1150 a month. For a 1 bedroom! What on earth. I refuse to believe there is high demand in this area for luxury apartments

True, I used to work in grocery at Target in another state, and I was the only team member to my knowledge who actually donated/disposed of expired food or bothered to do FIFO. Our team leads thought running expired goods to the donation area or the compactor was a waste of time and would bitch about how long it took. (As long as the store looked good to the district TL's during walkthroughs, the store leads didn't give a crap about sell-by dates or food safety.) So everyone else in Consumables just left the expired product on the shelf until a guest would eventually call or come in the store to complain. It definitely indicates a problem in management priorities IMO.
