Blackberry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
16oz blackberries, pureed, strained to remove seeds
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup ½ & ½
¾ cup sugar
100g 70% dark chocolate bar, chopped (freeze the bar before chopping)
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
combine ingredients in a ½ gallon jar (add sugar last), shake it up every 30 minutes
refrigerate for 2 hours
pour into ice cream maker (Cuisinart 2 quart Ice Cream Maker)
let it run for 30 minutes
