I used to live there. If you take one of the alarms off the wall it won't go off in your apartment. Admittedly you have the risk of there being a real emergency but we took the risk and survived.

Westville Village has 2 bedroom 2 bath options. My wife and I moved out of there in November and there was just a fee for breaking the lease.

Depending on how early you should definitely try Bella's. One of the best brunch spots in New Haven.
