In the original picture the happy expressions on their faces are more striking than the embrace, which loses so much context just being arms and hands. They abstracted it too much, artists can do that.

There are private groups on Facebook that have a more adult level of discussion than on most subreddits. The big public or popular private Facebook groups are just garbage, but I love some of the more focused, unsensationalist groups.

There’s probably an infinite number of areas of space like what we call “the universe” for trillions of light years in every direction, some expanding, some colliding, some contracting. This is one idea some people have.

They preserve the world of the 1950s. Conservatives dislike change. They have a need for security, for definitions that don’t change, things they can believe in, and the rule of gut feelings over logical progression. Meanwhile we city people have sped forward with our revaluation of all values.

The quotas for legal immigration from our neighbors to the south are stupidly low considering they come here anyway. It should be a million a year from Mexico and at least 100,000 a year from each Central American country. Then you would have less illegal immigration.
