1. The P key is backspace as I use Colemak layout I can rebind it.
2. This is known as a “column stagger split monoblock”. It is very comfortable as your wrists sit at a better angle along with the keys following the natural differences of your fingers.
3. It’s the standard thickness of any board, about 21mm for the case then keycaps on top of that. The controller is mounted into a recessed section in the case then the keys go right on top, haven’t had any issues doing it that way yet.

The board is the ScottoFly. It’s a handwired board that I designed and released free for anyone to build. This version of it uses Lil’ Tyke linears lubed with 205G0 and filmed with Deskeys switch films. This photo is part of an upcoming video I have on tiny keyboards.

I like making videos on these boards and have one specifically for this one which showcases what I think is the best sounding 3D printed board.

I borderline prefer my IE100 over my IE300. Although the proprietary cable pisses me off.

35 days to be exact. I build my first handwired board on September 19, 2022.

I have a video on exactly how I design them :)

But yeah, basically I get the layout ready, then just follow the system I made that works for me.

I have a video specifically on that one. The real Mac throwback is the pink one on the left, it uses Alp Orange switches and keycaps from an old Apple keyboard.

I'm telling you, handwiring is the most fun and rewarding thing I've done in my 4 years of mechanical keyboarding.
