no, you aren't overthinking it. when i was doing my fan i did some reading an apparently 3" duct can olny handle so much air, so when you adapat a larger fan you often get backpressure because its pushing air in faster than it can go out.

as for the changing it the vent it can be super easy or impossible depending on your house and how the vent pipe is routed because 4" vent isn't going to fit in a 2x4 framed wall cavity so if it's a 2nd floor bathroon with attic access thats easy, but if its a 1st floor bathroom that vents through the roof that's a different story

It should be no problem for your parent to gift you a car and sign the title over to you. I believe you would just fill it out as if you are buying it for $0.00

You may still have to pay some amount of fair value tax on it when you title it in NJ but I’m not 100% sure. If your dad has easy access to a notary it might be worthwhile to have him get a letter saying he is gifting it to you and that he is your father. You shouldn’t need it if your last names are the same but it’s better to have it ready just in case

Honestly I think a better tip is to do a subscription audit and decide what you aren’t getting your moneys worth out of and canceling those. Like maybe you subscribed to a streaming service to watch a certain series and that season is over and might not be back for a year. Just canceling everything for the sake of starting over seems pointless to me. If the end goal is to decide what’s worth keeping do an audit. Keep what you use, ditch what you don’t and see if you can renegotiate the ones that you are on the fence about.

You also might end up paying more if you are on a rate or special that is no longer offered.

Im not sure if customer loyalty matters at all anymore but it seems pointless to cancel a subscription that you plan to renew right away at the same rate. If you want to try to get a discount you just need to contact the retention department and say your circumstances have changed and you are considering leaving but wanted to see if there were any savings you qualify for before making a final decision

I would recommend you find a hotel in the area you want to live and stay a couple nights and experience the commute firsthand. Be aware of various religious holidays and such and try to do the commute on a few “ normal workdays “ because Jewish and Christian holidays will make traffic a lot lighter so make sure none of that is happening
