I lived in WI for awhile. My form of NY raised communication style is not acceptable out in the Mid West. Fuck em, I like honest assholery over the saccharine niceness of that area of the country. Lol.

On the nose my man. My brother lives near Canada in NY, my sister near the great lakes, and we are up in the mountains of NH. Actually my house is in a glacial valley, at the basin surrounded by three mountains. so even when they get 6 inches five miles in any direction, we will always get 8 to 12. And the temp in winter is always ten degrees colder than any direction in five miles too. We really get shit on here. My siblings get Lake Effect snow that's just as bad. At least water won't be an issue for us. Lol.

We were all taught that this would happen starting almost thirty five years ago in school. Shocked Pikachu faces shouldn't be a reaction by anyone.
Happy to live where we get fucking obliterated by snow fall every damned year and it's getting worse with global climate change. at least fresh water won't be an issue where we live. Keeping other people from other areas away from it sure as hell may turn into one though.

The most creative are actually going to appear the most normal. It's all a part of how it works. We don't care about YOU, we care about getting caught before we succeed, and this creative (and intelligent) evil people should surprise everyone when their true nature shows. IF it ever does show.

I have the Dark triad traits in spades man. They are absolutely dark.
In a war game scenario, dark triad will suggest a nuke where someone good at managing these traits in beneficial ways would have a far better plan that eviscerated the enemy and then indebted them to us in the process with minimal bloodshed, not cause they care about the individuals, but they have less to gain with less bodies relying on them.
In moderation, yes these are advantageous to war and success in it, when you have them in spades: trust me when I say that the avenues of success are going to be brutal in ways a non triad person wouldn't see until it was over, and they would be horrified by how it was all done and manipulated to the psychopaths benefit.
These are very dark traits and they aren't exactly welcomed by all of us who possess them.

Yeah....no. First, retardation is no longer an accepted term. Second, psychopaths tend to have above average cognitive functioning in general, not impaired.
Lastly, their emotional spectrum is skewed, not necessarily limited. What is limited MAY be what provides what level of a given emotion.

I have had. Lot of difficulty writing any literature. DMing encounters is always fun. No one sees the twists when you are a psychopath. Mainly cause they cannot even conceive of the possibilities.
I think it comes to active participation vs passive writing. It takes a lot away from the actual creativity of it all.

Sir, that is the incompetent ones. The competent ones won't say a thing until it's over and they have no chance of taking a penalty or hit. The. They will hint at their own involvement to those close to the victim or the victim themselves without ever giving enough to prove a thing.
A competent malevolent being doesn't care for gloating until the deed is done. Long monologues in front of a hero aren't really a thing. Especially not as often as Hollywood would have you believe. An anonymous letter to the hero's family or group that explains how they died without saying who did it in vague ways that implicates tons of OTHER people, including the same family or group: that is the sign of a malevolent being who is competent and intelligent.

It's both. Dumb psychopaths end up in prison pretty young or are horrible at attaining their goals. I agree that they are probably really prone to following a smart or powerful psychopath with similar ideals however.

Evil is not stupid. It's short sighted. Competent malevolence makes up probably about half of all people with an excess of dark triad traits. I agree people need to stop treating these studies as not valuable.
As a psychopath who works daily on not acting on the dark triad thoughts and ideas that make up 2/3 of all my waking thoughts is a never ending battle that has pushed me to be suicidal in the past, multiple times. I made a few attempts when I was younger that ended in horrible non life threatening pain.
Studies like these give some hope or understanding for and of people like myself who knows what we are, don't like it, but have to fight harder than a professional athlete to not give into the thoughts and plans we invariably concoct whether we want to or not.

Hire a vocalist who can BE a front man. There are very very few player/singer combos who have the charisma to be a real front man. There are a ton of talented singers to get onboard all over the country, or world really.
Don't suggest taking it over. You blow up any relationship and one or both of you will crash and burn out of the band. I've been in a couple groups where this scenario played out, as a lot of singers who suck think they are great, and it always ends badly.
Get a real front man and avoid this topic in this manner.

I swear I saw an article on how Boards would be wise to replace CEOs with AI as all they do is guess the future and pretty much every current AI is better at that task than any human, their jobs are actually very likely to be replaced. Then boards and shareholders get THAT much more money, and they are the real decision makers. Personally I think CEOs are the biggest threat to their profits when compared to AI. Their jobs will be on the block as much as anything else will be.

Yeah, I have voted against Sununu in every run since I've been a resident of NH. We moved here about seven years ago and bought a house a quarter mile down the road from her dad and her childhood home. As a native NJ/NYer this is WASP country and very prim and proper for my taste. So I am really shocked this has even gotten as far as it has.

I live in NH. I'm all about this passing. The battle is still uphill. We have a Senate to get things through and a governor who is aspiring to a GOP POTUS run either in 24 or 28 and has been vocally opposed to and openly said he would veto any bill like this more than once. We need a veto proof majority to beat the Governor on this.
If you live in NH, talk to your representatives regardless of party, this crosses lines and we don't have many issues that do. If they want to remain in their positions for another election, tell them to vote for this or lose a vote to anyone qualified to replace them.

It appeared what you were implying is that caution means no progress. Where caution means progress without deaths due to stupidity. There is a huge difference between being careful and not doing anything out of fear. No matter how you try and spin that "question" it doesn't get any better.

They have to be basically pointed directly at us to be a threat. The chances of one being in the correct range and be directly lined up with our solar system [I'm pretty sure they would be large enough to encompass most of the inner solar system in a beam] is outlandishly small. A few seconds difference and a beam would miss completely at those distances thanks to how fast everything is moving relative to one another at that scale. The fact that this one hit from the distances it did is mind boggling. I also wonder about how much diffusion of the beam there is over those distances, which if it did, would it increase the chances of getting hit or decrease it? Any astrophysics people who would like to chime in here I would appreciate it!
