I highly recommend Trench. The production is great and it somewhat tells a story (along with other albums by the band). The song Neon Gravestones is particularly meaningful.

I agree that it’s overplayed, but I actually like the song. Not my fave song by Falling in Reverse, but I still play it every once in a while.

That’s one of my favorite Christmas songs… but to answer your question (and stick with the Christmas theme) Blue Christmas by Elvis. The vocals are unbearable in my opinion.
