Retail includes all purchases from stores. I bought a lot of gear this year because I finally have the time and money to do so. In august I bought a nice bike. I do not expect retail to be that high this year. I was making up for living very frugally previously.

I didn’t include income that went to taxes or savings because this chart is just a representation of my disposable income. I was under budget and the remaining 2k will just add a bump to my savings.

I had 2 big purchases this year for my hobbies. One in February and one in August. Retail is stuff I bought from a store that doesn’t fall under entertainment (concerts/movies/sports).

My housing costs fluctuate because my roommates are bad at keeping track of utilities and I wasn’t charged every month. I also included purchases for things that were for the house. What’s confusing about retail?

That's not a bad idea. I made this tool to keep track of my disposable income and make sure I was not over spending. A taxes and investment column would be a nice addition though.
