I have a look at what's on the Booker's list of nominees every year and only look into the ones that actually sound interesting.

I read it, I adored it, I think it would be my pick as well. But it does require patience and the ability to just let yourself drift away in the words workout thinking about the pages.

Exceptions can exist. And your exception is certainly possible, sure. Is it probable? Not enough to be of any significance to the conversation.
