There will be levels to this. In the near future there will be AI industry related jobs. If you are good at prompting and know how to operate many different AI programs and functions, you could probably become an AI consultant, I bet that will be a legitimate field within the year. 20 years from now? I don't think anyone will have to work, but maybe some limited opportunities for those who still want to even if not necessary.

What I think will happen in between those timelines, is that certain industries the government will force human labor through even when it's not needed. Similar to how NJ requires gas stations to have someone pump your gas for you, the government can create other jobs that aren't actually needed by forcing human labor in certain industries. Should they do this is a different question but when things get desperate, I am almost certain this will be tested.

I get using ChatGPT as a starting point for something like this, but it looks like they pasted in something verbatim while barely even reading what they were sending, especially about a sensitive subject, thats pretty careless.

I mean not every millennial will be bad with the new tech, obviously there are boomers and gen-x'ers that are pretty good with the internet (my dad is better with computers than my sisters for instance), but yeah, younger generations will get a chance to grow up with it while their minds are still malleable, us over-25 types will have to really put in effort to wrap our heads around it as our brains are already fully formed, it won't be as naturally ingrained as it will be for the younger generation. Everything you can learn about it now though will put you ahead compared to your millennial and older peers.

More or less, the method is already discovered, now it's about testing and making sure the procedure doesn't do more harm than good (without very careful application can easily lead to things like tumors). They have a good handle on reversing aging in mice, they are moving to doing it in monkeys next. Very possible the first person to live to 150 is alive today.
