Here’s a story I just came across for the first time.
I wasn’t previously aware of the efforts of the purpose-created Northeast Timber Salavage Administration (NETSA) largely executed by the WPA and CCC.

NH does not have low property tax rates.
The towns with a lot of high value taxable real estate typically have lower rates. Poorer towns pay much more per $1000 value.
That said, if you have 11 rural acres, you may be able to keep 10 in “current use” and pay lower rates.

I’m in Concord, near downtown and was lucky to get power back around 7:30 last night.
The road by my house is dry. I guess the wind evaporated the water before the flash freeze. I’m interested in knowing about ice on roads elsewhere.
