Whenever a thing is supposed to be big, all of a sudden the entertainment press will talk about it and talk it up, and are trying to create as much experience to drum up business. Manufacture controversy where there is none, talk about how amazing a B+ episode of a show was, talk up an actor who is prospective for several big roles, etc. Just watch what you like and ignore media press - its as manufactured as the shows and actors it’s reporting on.

I do work that results in me talking about death with people pretty regularly. This is a bad tip. You might refrain from telling small children or people with certain mental needs or illnesses, but people overwhelmingly want this information asap, even when the burden is terrible to bear.

How could you view this as anything but inevitable? Just imagine a factory cranking out millions of drones that can fire small caliber bullets, or with small explosives, or some other weapon. A bit of AI and a few guys in a bunker can destroy a huge number of conventional troops. Anybody who doesnt do this will be spending lives at a non replaceable level, or spending an unnecessary amount on killing the enemy. It will be a new kind of brutal on par with WW1.
