OK well it seems like no one cares and so far have respected his anonymity. If he wants to reveal himself he might do that someday, he doesn't seem the least bit interested in celebrity though so probably not.

What reason does anyone have to expose him? He wishes to remain largely anonymous, so anyone obsessed with figuring out who he is would be, at best, a massive prick and at worst a psychopath.

Every time someone posts a "CT is in the top 5 most desirable places to live" article here and people are like "How?" Generally tells you enough about their life experience to conclude they've lived here their whole lives.
There are exceptions of course, it's not a good fit for everyone but it suits me just fine

Oh no I've changed my tune, I actually like it here now. I just needed that perspective. It's definitely not an exciting place to live in as a child, but now I see how parents might view it as an ideal place to raise a family for that same reason

You’ll quickly find out why Connecticut isn’t much of a tourist destination. I’ve had British people tell me CT is the state that reminds them the most of home so it might not even seem exotic to you. I love it here but I enjoy it’s quaint nature and lack of excitement

Reply to TIL about Vesna Vulović, the Guinness world record holder for surviving the highest fall without a parachute: 10,160 m (33,330 ft; 6.31 mi) by Cannabisseur78
I think you only have to fall a couple hundred feet to reach terminal velocity. So your odds of surviving a fall don't appreciably change between 1000 and 30,000 feet. It mostly depends on where you land and the orientation of your body at impact. I heard it was actually better to fall into like tall wispy trees like a stand of spruce, anything that slows you down even slightly before you hit the ground can measurably improve your chance of survival.

oops I meant to say "assigned" VIN. A reissued VIN would imply it came back from the original manufacturer

Also the languages aren’t “lost” if we have an extensive record of their vocabulary and grammar and examples of people speaking those languages. Usually the reason people stop speaking those languages has more to do with convenience than oppression

You would need a reissued VIN from the state which requires an inspection. This happened to me last year when I inherited a classic car and it was a massive pain in the ass.
