Law is pretty clear, you can NOT re-convict the person that has been found innocent no matter HOW it was achieved for that particular crime.
So, DA did not do a good job but it also works in MANY MANY other cases where public defender sucked and forced innocent man to agree to a plea.

Yah, sure.. "Do not resist!!!" right after he body slammed the guy PROBABLY just getting into his own car but I will wait.
Also, wouldn't mind hearing the "description" given in the 911 call. (after all, the guy "matched" the description)

This actually sets precedence, it appears. Looks like ANY citizen can stop anyone that they feel did traffic violation and shoot them if they try to drive away since this guy who was SUPPOSEDLY treated as regular citizen got away with it.

Basically, it all boils down to whether a normal person would have had same outcome and the answer is 'NO'. If it was me who shot that teen, then I would definitely NOT be acquitted and he should NOT have either.

Where have you been in last 6 years? That is basically the premise of "Make America Great Again" campaign.
Ask ANY MAGA people WHEN was America GREAT and they all basically point to the 40-50 (maybe 60's?) during Jim Crow era pretty much.

Probably much cheaper there since most countries over there run 220-240v in residences so even at same 12 amps, their cars will charge at double the rate of US and that just may be enough for MOST people since at that rate it should be charging about 50miles/8hrs. 110v electric usage is quite unique to North American residences. (Even most COMMERCIAL NA power is 240 1p/480V 3p generally)

Unfortunately, temporary (or permanent) insanity plea probably is appropriate for this particular case if this ever goes to criminal trial.

What are they saying? Are they saying that he paid enough price for his crime so dropping the charges? Or he wasn't guilty in the first place so they have no choice but to drop the charges OR (most likely) even if he is guilty, if this shit goes to trial, they will be in a LOT of trouble so they will not press charges?

I don't know.. So many cars have massive issues all the time and looks like Tesla seem to get more attention.
GM had burning battery issue with their BOLT.
Toyota had wheels falling out issue with their BZ4X (stupid name - assuming Subaru also had the issue but it is same car)
Honda recently had to recall 200k+ cars for the side view mirror falling off issue.
