And if I remember correctly the name translates something like Elephant Mark, or Seal. Something like that. Strength, integrity, familiarity and other attributes associated with the Elephant.
I should really look this up before blabbing but I'm fairly certain of that meaning behind the name.
I can really respect the idea of not advertising and getting your name out as much as possible. Just make the best stuff.

The best part is if you lose a Zojirushi they're not very expensive to replace.

I used a Contigo until I bought the Zoji. Night and day difference.
Zojirushi has been around for over 100 years.

I would guess since its insulated very well. I use a 40 oz Hydro Flask for my daily water.

So far has never popped open on me all this time. And it has taken some harsh falls as you can probably tell by looking at the pic.

Those guys are something else. Whenever they rolled into the quarry I worked at all work stopped. You went back to the office and didn't talk to them. Some guys were pretty chill, in and out in a couple hours. Others would absolutely scrutinize everything. Find the dumbest shit to write you up for. That hook and winch you've been using for the last 20 years to pull and move rocks stuck in the jaw crusher? Been good all those years but now? Getting a write-up now!
The place I work for now used to be paired with a quarry but split into two different companies 6 months ago. No more MSHA!

I use denture cleaning tablets. Fill with hot water, drop in all of the seals with two tablets, place the stopper and top up so the water is touching the bottom of the stopper. Let sit overnight and brush out in the morning. Though sometimes I put all of the plastic pieces in a separate container so they're fully submerged.
You could give that a try.

Zojirushi has been around for a little over 100 years. They make a lot of different things. Noted for their rice cookers as well.

Sounds good and all but if you don't mind my asking. What exactly is happening on your tables and desks where it's nice to have finally found an insulated cup that you don't have to worry about sliding around all over the place?

That 14 oz Yeti I got for home use does the job. I do like that the lid is easier to clean and less involved than the Zoji. That and one of my cars doesn't have a cupholder so it sits nicely on the passenger floor.

Or the K&N filters of the automotive world.
Which is funny because I always mention Beats whenever I trash on K&N filters. (They're shit BTW)

Is that falling with the lid open or closed? If you look at the picture mine has taken some hard falls, many from over 5 feet. But the lid was closed every time.

That was tested with the lids on both. I think the Yetis lid is where it loses so much heat because it is a single layer piece.

I have one of those chrome and green ones handed down to me from my Father. I don't use it much because it's pretty big. Like the anti-aircraft guns projectile on the Missouri big.

Its the brushed finish but there's some sort of clear coat on it. I ordered one in blue and this stainless one showed up. At first I was kind of miffed but I have seen that other people can have problems with the colored coating peeling. Since this one has a pretty hard life it turns out that stainless want so bad.

That's the one thing about them. Calling the design "involved" would be an understatement. At first cleaning was really annoying to me but I just came to accept the design for what it is. Now its just part of the routine. I mentioned in an earlier reply that I use denture cleaning tablets. That helps a lot.
