Reply to So I now own both discord keyboards... and I'm disappointed in the quality drop from the first discord keyboard to the next found 5 screws rattling around in the new nitro one by xLinka-YT
I mean I can't say I'm surprised. Any of these branded or special edition boards are just built with cheap parts and made in large batches. Worlds away from a "premium" board. I personally would not spend my money on them. I would rather pick up a Tofu/QK/Zoom etc. Obviously that just comes down to personal preference but the quality thing doesn't. There are factors as to why that is the case like I mentioned.

Osume makes the best keycaps and nobody can change my mind. Typing on the matchas right now but I have the mochis with taro accents and I am in LOVE.

Well.. you have found your people. We love the keebs. Cool build! Btw, not sure if you know but your arrow keys are upside down. I know that given their profile it seems a bit strange to put them in the other way but that is indeed how they are "supposed" to go.

Yeahhh trust me, it’s not. That’s the fun part though! Just enjoy it :)

It doesn't. In fact it's quite the opposite. Having screw-in stabilizers means that you cannot take them out and tune them or replace them once the board is already built whereas with plate mount stabilizers, you can just pull the keycaps off, pull that one switch out for the stabilizer you are trying to access, pop the tabs and pull them out.
For screw-in, you need to unscrew the case, take out every last switch to separate the PCB from the plate and THEN you can access them. Pain in the butt to be honest. So with screw ins, you really have to make sure that they are tuned to your liking and good to go once you put them in unless you want to disassemble your whole board every time to access them.

Welcome to the dark side. Enjoy your time here, we have switches and cookies. And we’re all in debt but we’re happy about it and wouldn’t have it any other way

Yeahhh that's my thing as well. So knowing that 65s are kind of where my heart is, I just want to try a bunch of different ones. I would be inclined to try a 75. Definitely want to get my hands on a QK75 sometime soon. Just on the hunt for one now.

I just have a thing for 65s and this kind of sound profile. I may venture into a 75, likely a QK75 but it just feels a bit.... wasteful to me. I have no use at all for a function row. A 65 is literally all the keys I want and need so I guess the way I am thinking of it is like this... I can either get and try more of what I know I like or I could buy 75s/80s etc just to diversify but knowing that that additional size would ONLY be for that purpose and not because I could actually find some sort of use for it. It's all preference though hah trust me if I had "reasons" to get other types, I absolutely would.

I feel this so much hahah. I have my QK65 in hand thankfully and I am OBSESSED with it. It really doesn't get much better than this but I did also grab a Zoom65 during the current GB and I am trying to refrain from snagging a Tofu65 in the current GB as well. My wallet is screaming.
