It is not. It showcases some student work in the student galleries. The rest is curated to showcase contemporary art by mid career artists and they have an extensive permanent collection dating back to the renaissance period.

You can not “apply” to have a show there. It is run by numerous curators. Mostly for established artists.

Reply to Providence to Needham daily commute? by Training-Seat-
I did this commute for a few years. About 1-1.5 hours everyday each way, 2 hours on a bad day. The commute home is the worst, massive traffic at the start and end of the trip. I got a new job....

Providence is bikeable in that it’s small and you can get from one side to another relatively quickly. It is not very bike friendly. Not a ton of bike lanes downtown or surrounding neighborhoods. I would recommend the east bay bike bath to get a nice bay view and look back at the city, there is a hearty hill to climb to get there. There is also a nice walkway down by the canal that is bike friendly. Rhode island drivers are.. a special bunch.
As for no gluten, wildflour is great for breakfast. There are lots of great modern restaurants with seafood options due to it being so coastal. most of who have other GF items on the menu.

“not in providence proper” is a massive understatement when referring to the north shore lmao. It’s not considered to be in boston proper! A cool hour and a half from here.
