Alas, Babylon is one of my favorite dystopian novels. I think it’s what gave me the longing to one day fuck off to a farm in the middle of nowhere.

Might get downvoted for this, but Desperate Housewives was one of the best dark comedy soap operas ever produced and would be amazing if they brought it back.

I’m in the same boat right now. Currently reading Morning Star by Pierce Brown and I’ve hit a point that’s too depressing to keep reading. The worst part is the book is due back to the library in two days and I don’t have the mental capacity to finish it by then.

Chuck Palahnuik. My favorites of his are Choke and Haunted.

Find a large laundromat with extra machines and then just do all your loads at once. I used to go to a laundromat that had about 50 machines, and I could usually do 3 loads at once and get all of my laundry done in a couple hours. Just know it gets expensive. I believe they charged me $8 per load pre-COVID.
