Especially as large-scale renewable sources continue to grow, the need for short-term storage will only grow as well. That will help with short-term generator capacity in two ways. First they may not have to spin up as often. And second, the storage can capture some of the wasted output.

Naieve Bayes Classifiers, support vector machines, decision trees, k-means clustering... these are part of machine learning but not AI. They may be sometimes used in AI, but so are processors and memory chips but those aren't AI either.

"Modern AI" is almost entirely made of neural networks, which is merely one of the topics in machine learning. Older AI was based on things like A*, formal logic systems, fuzzy logic, etc., little of which is "machine learning".

> In the event you arrive at the airport without valid identification, because it is lost or at home, you may still be allowed to fly. The TSA officer may ask you to complete an identity verification process which includes collecting information such as your name, current address, and other personal information to confirm your identity. If your identity is confirmed, you will be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint. You will be subject to additional screening, to include a patdown and screening of carry-on property. > > You will not be allowed to enter the security checkpoint if your identity cannot be confirmed, you choose to not provide proper identification or you decline to cooperate with the identity verification process. > > TSA recommends that you arrive at least two hours in advance of your flight time.

It's not even just beds, but "staffed beds". Many hospitals have the rooms/beds for pediatric patients but lack the staff to operate them. In my state, apparently requests for temp staffing have to be made over 8 weeks in advance. With an disease like RSV that can either be a nothing-burger or a serious epidemic within a shorter time-period than that, it's making it difficult for hospitals to staff in advance.
