Reply to Took a drive to Diablo Lake. It got foggy and cloudy at the viewpoint, so I had to search for views. Found this view from down near Diablo Dam. Taken around 7:30 AM, about 30 minutes before sunrise. Haven't had any luck finding the name of the mountain, anyone know? by Nixx_Mazda
By the way, the smaller square thing in the background is called “Paul Bunyan’s Stump”

Pyramid Peak. Here’s my version, taken a few years ago from the same place: https://glencampbell.photography/landscape/morning-sentinel

Bellingham is great, especially if you've been driving a while and you need gas.

I’m 62 and read almost NO nonfiction. Very little of that holds my interest these days. This year it’s been Donna Leon, Greg Bear, Alex Shvartsman, Ben Aaronovitch, Sally Rooney, Ursula Leguin, Becky Chambers. About the only nonfiction I’ve read this year is “A Woman of no importance.”

There’s a tire place in Austin, Texas, with the motto, “If it’s in stock, we’ve got it!”

That was me unsuccessfully chasing an eagle, not Mt. Baker.

Went for a drive through the Skagit flats this evening and saw Mt Baker with a lenticular cloud atop after unsuccessfully chasing an eagle.

I know that bridge! The Eagle Tree is just to the left of where you're standing.
