There was some regional youth theater in the Needham/Newton area ~15 years ago, anyone know of it or know if it’s still around? In high school I dated a girl from Needham who was in it… it could have just been Needham High though. I think they had their performances at Bentley?

Sure, because you can still board the wrong train, and train crews aren’t going to completely stop what they’ve been (semi-)doing for decades. In addition to the valid reason you’re raising, I’m just saying it’s a measure to help fare evasion, or at least look like it.

I lived a block away for 9.5 years and heard screeching brakes and honking all day every day, plus several T-bone accidents. Some were so bad that they’d have to close the street. The city has known about that intersection and never acted — I wrote on the SeeClickFix site about it numerous times and they responded that they “moved the stop sign further up,” which I don’t think they ever did. Glad they’re finally doing something about it, but man, it took a fucking long time.

You’re worried about command strips on walls and tension rods but you’re gonna use “strong glue” instead?

Just use the command strips or tension rods (twist them until they can no longer twist, and don’t pull with all of your strength when you draw your curtains), it’ll be fine.

Club Cafe, Cathedral Station, Legacy, Alley Bar, Trophy Room, Midway, Diesel Cafe. 5/7 of those mostly cater to gay men, the queer women’s scene isn’t great. Boston isn’t “super straight,” we just don’t have a huge nightlife scene, gay or otherwise.

Apps - Grindr + Scruff (hookup-focused but still possible to see where it goes), Tinder, Hinge, Bumble.

Places - Club Cafe, Legacy, The Trophy Room, Cathedral Station, Alley Bar.

You’re asking if, across all types of “service” (ex. car service, retail jobs, food service… even landlords, like you mention), Cambridge has a discernible difference in customer service vs Boston? This sort of metric is just not really a static thing.

Get to know a bar close to where you live that’s easy to stop by on your way home from work, errands, etc. when you want to. If you don’t like the vibe of the first one, try another.

On Craigslist, it looks like you have dozens of options for <$2700 1 bedrooms in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline… can you specify what you’re looking for, if those options aren’t decent? Do you want a managed or luxury building? Also, while 25% gross is a respectable and responsible budget, plenty of us do spend more and are still able to save in other ways.
