After this album failed, Billy's reaction was interesting as to the two things he did next. First he grew his hair longer and dreaded it... then he played a reunion show with Generation X.

So from one extreme to the other really. Then he took a couple years off and eventually reunited with Steve Stevens and started making the kind of music that really worked for him again. Well, except for that Sinatra wannabe Christmas album, but that's a whole other story.

I listened to Cyberpunk once and then tried to block it out of my mind forever. I might give it another shot now, for the Hell of it, I guess.

I hope not. But ever since the sickening Telecommunications Act of 1996 opened the door to all these mega corporate consolidations which have destroyed all forms of media, including radio & the record industry, there has been a ridiculous attempt to paint these ridiculous autotuned Di$ney puppets as being "every bit as good" as Elvis, The Beatles, the Stones, etc.

Crappy disposable music has always existed, of course. The difference is, they had their one or two hits and then faded away in two years or less. Post 1996, it's the crappy disposable acts that are propped up by the industry, while actual talented musicians are limited to what ever self distribution they can do over the internet, and live performances, which obviously took a big hit in recent years, due to COVID.

Real music is timeless, of course. You can put on an Elvis record from 1956 or a Beatles record from 1966 and it will still sound as good today, where you can dig up some crappy disposable one hit wonders from that era and it's going to sound dated & cheesy and you will probably ask yourself "who the Hell signed these guys to a record label". God help us all - assuming human civilization still exists 50 years from now - if anybody listens back to the music of this present era and thinks that Taylor Swift or Florida Georgia Line are "timeless".

One of the many good things about credit unions is that you can use the ATM's of other credit unions as well, with no fees, and that includes deposits.

I opened my BECU account years ago because they conveniently had a branch at the Safeway a mile down the road. Sadly that branch closed a month or two later, and I don't spend a lot of time out in the Hawks Prairie area where the closest physical branch remains. So if I ever need to make a deposit, I just go to another nearby credit union (WSECU) and use their ATM. Never had any sort of issues doing so.

Here's an idea...

Why don't they try getting an actual band that plays instruments again. Like that unbelievable string of talent they had in the Super Bowls of the 2000s. I swear that after the horrible performance by What's Left of The Who in 2010 (Daltrey sounded like he was dead, honestly) they must have made some decision to never have a show that wasn't all taped and/or autotuned horseshit ever again. But I would say 12 years of that garbage is more than enough.

It was inevitable of course. I'll miss the sun, definitely will NOT miss the smoke.

Worst of all is going from 88 degrees on Sunday to this cold miserable mess today. While 46 degrees & raining would be completely normal in late October, it just feels "extreme" this year.

Could have dealt with a few weeks of 60 degrees & light rain as a transitional period before heading completely into the miserable weather.
