Bro just take some weed gummies before going in you’ll be fine. You’re not gonna wanna be drinking a lot in the crowd the bathroom lines will be absolutely insane and annoying once you break the seal. It also costs a stupid amount of money to drink there + the tailgating will be incredibly sad

proximity to providence is a pretty good thing, especially if you’re an arts/music person or foodie. I actually like going into PVD more than downtown Boston these days. No one can afford to go out anymore + Our venues suck. Even allston is a ghost town a lot of the times. I definitely get why people are moving out in droves especially if they were just here for school.

If you’re traveling from far I would strongly advise against the lawn, especially in the summer months when there are random rainstorms. The view will suck, you can be stuck in the mud/dirt, and they don’t allow umbrellas. Get seats so you have some cover and don’t have to worry about finding a spot.

I would recommend trying to be somewhat centered and not to off to the sides for the best sound. View is very much get what you pay for, it will be a lot of money to be closer to the stage.

Malden or Watertown if you still want to see friends that are in the Cambridge/somerville area. Medford used to be kind of viable but the western and southern part with more transit access have gotten overpriced. I’ve also known people who have gotten stupid lucky with arlington rentals off season but that’s harder the the other two rent wise

There are dumbasses that will not do shit to their cars if it wasn’t for the inspection. Know of people who will ride on bald tires and no break lights for as long as possible until they’re forced to do it because they fail. Same with exhaust systems going bad.

Do you make enough to afford it? Even if you have doctor money it’s still going to be well over a million to get a single family in Newton these days and that will be a stretch if you’re a one income household with kids. If you want under a million for a single family you’re going to have to not be on the MBTA rapid transit lines at all and rely on commuter rail - there’s a shuttle bus from the ruggles station on the providence/stougton line if you don’t want to car commute to get you to longwood or if it’s nice out it’s an easy walk from that station.

Most outer towns in Boston metro are still going to be far more walkable and have better schools than Arkansas by a long shot even if they don’t have the the T (t as in rapid transit subway/trolley lines not the commuter rail)

God help you. The older you get the harder it is to meet people in this city. Most people who go out to bars or music events just want to stick with their own crew and never like it when randos cut into their conversation. You mentioned you were musicians - try craigslist to see if there’s people who want to jam out with you. Be warned that there is a major practice space shortage in the city going on with one of the biggest facilities evicting everyone end of January - if you can stick to low volume/acoustic stuff you can do without a drummer you may have more successes
