Labor is just one aspect of running a business. For most industries it’s the #1 cost, so yes, an increase in labor cost + other increases mentioned above = 30% increase to your goods and services.

And the reason why everything costs 30% more? The cost of running a business (labor, goods, transportation, etc.) has increased by that much and more.

If the plumber’s employer has to pay 20% more to retain the plumber the added cost would just passed onto the customers. Enjoy 20% more for your needs - now extrapolate that to all your other goods and services you need to survive. Good luck playing this dumb game.

Listen to companion podcasts after each episode. I recommend the podcast by the Bald Move guys. The BM podcasts really elevates my enjoyment of shows. They just wrapped up the Last of Us recently.

Wonder if there’s a residual effect from all the corporate layoffs that have gutted the recruiting departments?
You’re right. It’s getting weird/tough out there even for industry vets.

Can you plot it against the price of eggs in your region?
Also, has the price of the burrito risen steadily during this time?

No amount of donuts would make me ever want to go back into the office on Fridays.

You must not understand defensive alignment. Belichick had 8 in the box, preparing for a run. Earlier in the season Marshawn faced the same goal line situation and fumbled away at the 1. Also, the clock was running, Belichick didn’t call a time out, and running the ball while not making it would’ve killed the game too. Wilson needed the place the ball better. Butler also just made a ridiculous play and hats off there.

Still on Wilson to make a better throw so it’s either a TD or an incomplete - not a ball that Butler could break and rip from.
As a Seattle fan, this narrative of “should’ve ran the ball” is old, tired and wrong. Wilson needed to make a better throw.

Tell me you don’t run a business without telling me you don’t run a business.
