I arose from my dreams into a nightmare.
Sterile silence, black asphyxiation.
My body and mind converged on
a moment of awareness,
enlightened, invisible.
I had gone to sleep expectant.
(Not of this.)
She had already made the passage,
and it was my pillow
on which she blinked drearily
into adulthood.
What to make of my fate?
I remain agnostic on this, God’s new
Law of Attraction.
Polarity is a matter of fact.
I am Nothing (Everything minus Everything).
And you know what is said about opposites?
