Graduation rates mean shit-all. Remember the Ballou High School scandal?

The low test scores are a tragic and objective measure that city leadership does not address with enough urgency.
To call them factories of crime or whatever is a dogwhistle.

Call them and complain. They might come down, especially if you are nice to the rep.

Southern congressman dogwhistling, what else is new?
As an aside, it's a humorous bit of logic to say that DC schools are crime factories because of chronic absenteeism. Wouldn't that mean that schools are the opposite of crime factories?

Haha very funny generic joke making fun of a non-major sport. Maybe you can yell "Run Forest, Run!" too. The men's and women's 10 mile US record has been set multiple times at this event. It's a human achievement that is far greater than any of us will achieve but sure go ahead and dismiss it because you have to take a 15 minute detour around a park.
That's what bothers me about this article.

It's so annoying that the local coverage for a race that has 10,000+ participants and is the USATF 10 mile championship is what roads are going to be closed. It's all pretty much on parkland on a weekend!

That's what I initially thought, but just this week I saw a guy washing his car after hanging out 400 meters in and a photo shoot by someone from Costar (Tesla with their livery) at the same time.
There definitely are some official users but there are people slipping on.

This subreddit is disgusting and full of mask-off racism. It is not representative of what I see in the city.
The other points have already been touched on but I'll add something else. I have a hobby where I am at the top of it being just a hobby and not my job. DC has a high concentration of people just like me. I run marathons but I imagine that you can pick any hobby and DC will have other top performers.

It drives me up the wall. Especially because MPD does patrols and bike training there regularly. Do they not care? Does anyone care?
I regularly see normal, non-work cars on Kingman that too drives crazy too.

That's great. If we apply that logic in reverse, I don't care about the mundane shit you have to do. We live in a society with some trade offs. You get the road basically every other day and get to make city life hell. This race can have it for a Sunday morning. Fair trade?
