2007 was the first year of the 2nd generation. Most people like to avoid the first model year for vehicles because the "bugs" haven't been worked out yet.

FWIW, I had a 2003 years ago and it was a great truck.

At first I was like "wtf how" and then I realized that 1992 was 30 years ago 😭

I had a silver '88! Had to let it go in 1999 because the floorboards and frame had already been completely rusted out (damn snowbelt winters). At 180k miles it was still running perfectly.
