What you want doesn’t matter. It’s a normal thing to do with any computer, let alone your palmtop computer.

Even tech illiterates should know that rebooting a device can sometimes fix issues.

The fact that OP refuses to answer that question so far is rather telling.

But did you reboot your actual phone?

Are you on latest iOS?

Try googling “clear MagSafe case” and include your iPhone type.

Give it an hour or two.

Give it time. Don’t panic. The battery is likely just so depleted that it can’t do anything yet.

It just amazes me how many oblivious people in the world will lock up their valuables but not take even the slightest bit of precaution with the portable computer with all their personal info that they constantly carry around.

“OMG SOMEONE TOOK MY PHONE AND SOMEHOW CRACKED MY CODE! Those dastardly geniuses somehow figured out my/my kid’s four digit birth month and year!”

Simple solution to all of this: have a long passcode, and never enter it when you’re not in private or can’t cover part of the phone with your hand.

This is such an overblown non-issue.

If you’re dumb enough to have a short iPhone passcode, sure.

Edit: here’s a far more useful tip: disable control center access while the phone is locked.

Third party camera apps may be your best bet.

This seems like a lot of effort when you could just

1. Have a good password
2. Don’t be stupid and just have a phone unlock code longer than four digits

Turn on cellular data.

Don’t use a short passcode. Mine is twenty digits. Anyone who can figure my code out is impressive indeed. Enable faceID or touchID, and if they fail then go to the bathroom or somewhere else and enter your code to refresh them.

This isn’t hard. Basic precautions.

No prob, hopefully that’ll make your iPhone a happy one again!
