Anything by Bear McCreary is going to be excellent, Battlestar Galactica being my personal favorite.
Snuffy Walden's score for the West Wing is great.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine had a great score, particularly in later seasons. Really all the Trek shows have been solid in the music department.

I'm thinking of taking a trip to Pennsylvania this summer with the primary goal of seeing some historical sites. So far on my list is Gettysburg, Valley Forge and Braddock's Field. Possibly might also head north to the Watkins Glen area.
What are some other can't miss historical sites in Pennsylvania or nearby?

Europa Report. A small role but a good one.

With these long-running shows that went downhill in the end it can sometimes be easy to forget there was a time when they were excellent, and that's why they ran long in the first place. Looking at you Arrow.

Reply to The trope of dropping a mostly non-plot related flashback or side story episode right after a major plot point. Good or Bad? (General spoilers) by logicalnoise
There was only one time it really annoyed me and that was The Haunting Bly Manor when it ended one episode on a cliffhangar and then did a flashback episode explaining the ghosts before getting back to the main plot.

Really there's no choice that needs to be made. It's the perfect movie trifecta.

Warehouse 13 went out with a bad clip show and an 11th hour relationship upgrade for two characters without that kind of chemistry.

The opening scene of the film Serenity retcons how Simon got his sister out of government custody. It doesn't line up at all with his explanation in the Firefly pilot. I don't mind though, it's an exciting scene and you can handwave it away by saying his original explanation was just a very, very loose summary.

Reply to Is the American flag in the opening and closing scenes of Saving Private Ryan accurate for the time? by [deleted]
Since the opening and closing scenes are set in present day (for 1998) I think the flags are meant to also be from that time frame.

If it's been a while since the previous season I don't mind doing a re-watch before a new season. I just did that with Warrior Nun and there was plenty I had forgotten.

Reply to What movie did you love when you were younger but got progressivly worse over time? by Steakhouse42
I have fallen out of love with Sin City. When it came out I was obsessed with it, but I tried to rewatch it recently and the ultra-noire shtick wore thin very, very quickly.
I've also soured on Starship Troopers over time. I don't think it's half as clever as everyone else seems to think. I also read the book and the film is a pretty poor adaptation. (I still love the production design and the score though).

Reply to How do you cope when a show you love has a badly written ending? by SiLeNtE000
Try to ignore it and focus on the things you liked about the show. And if you do a rewatch, find a better stop point. Star Trek Enterprise, for example, had a decent two-parter right before its final episode, which was a bad ending, so on a rewatch I just stop there.
