Damn. Awful.
ETA - I don't support trump, never have a day in my life. Dunno why the downvotes, even though I disagree with everything trump stands for, it's still an awful situation to be that unwell. Makes me feel bad for people who are suicidal (been there done that, y'all).

Is there a source for trump losing being a driving reason behind what happened? Horrible either way, but if that was a reason.....sheesh. How...."sad" isn't the right word, maybe someone could help me out.
I did drive by a house in York county yesterday that still has huge Mastriano signs up. May or may not have yelled "your fascist lost!" when I drove by (windows up, I'm not crazy enough to taunt someone who likely is more pro-gun than pro-woman).

I've seen those 2 lb rolls of Amish butter in the grocery store and I get tempted to buy it bc of it's higher fat content, then I'm like mmm nope fuck that I'm not intentionally supporting the Amish. Sure, I understand "no ethical consumption under capitalism", but I still do my best to put my money where my morals are.

If you are approved for SSDI/SSI, yeah. I'm disabled but don't receive SSDI (yet 🤞🏻) so I don't qualify for Medicare. 2/3 of people who apply are denied. It's a poopchute trying.

Medicaid (which I am also on until April) is income-based, Medicare is for people aged 65+.
ETA - and Medicare if you're on SSDI/SSI.

Idk what the dragons part is supposed to mean 😂🫣 Without looking at the post I assumed it'd be a map like this but of Philly, and that part was Drexel (their mascot's a dragon).

Wondering why Cumberland isn't considered part of greater Harrisburg but only Lancaster is. I grew up in Harrisburg and I'd much quicker associate one over the other, personally.

Can vouch, Knoebels is great and pay-per-ride. Also dog-friendly, if that sways you one way or another. Big pool, pickle-on-a-stick, good times.

I 2nd this (it's also cheap), and Little Buffalo pool/state park in Newport. Sesame Place in Langhorne is pricier, but I'd like to take my daughter when she's a little older.
ETA - I'd also Google local parades/picnics/events of the area you're in. You can almost always find a random chicken bbq or festival, that's my favorite part about summer!

Reply to In first act as governor, Josh Shapiro opens Pa. jobs to people without college degrees by OhmyMary
Good, now they can have more people man the phones at unemployment I'd hope. People quit the call center UC rep jobs so fast bc they get berated all the time and it takes a toll on you, IMO that's a reason why there's no way to contact them via phone. I briefly worked for PUA and that seemed to be the case there.

Bob Casey's office told me to ask Mastriano for help, so fuck them.

I submitted a question to Josh Shapiro's website and lemme tell you, they get shit done there. Plus, no phone calls involved, which is great for someone disabled like me. However this was before the gubernatorial election, so anyone reading this in the future should contact their current AG.
One time was related to unemployment (which involves DoR....right? I'm very tired ATM), the other was a different involving a shit landlord doing illegal stuff negatively affecting my family. Anyways, both times I got replies much faster than any other government dept I tried to reach, and they solved the problems too. I always recommend people to message him.

Nah, go somewhere more fun than a boring old battlefield that local racists like to mentally jerk off over (not saying anyone who recommends it is one, just that some of my weirdo neighbors near there think wearing/using a confederate flag is a personality trait).

I have no knowledge of Johnstown, but I feel the "I live(d) in a bad part of Philly, so this other place is tolerable" experience lol. Have to tell my husband that frequently since he hates our current place in Hanover (can't blame him tbh). Just got done telling my maintenance guy how I had a hole in my wall in Philly from rainwater damage, and also raccoons in said walls. I noped out so fast.
On that note, hoot hoot to any other Temple grads.
