Another vote for finger lakes. Ithaca is a really cool town to stay in as well.

Down in Cape May we enjoy The Cove beach with our daughter. The water drops off a lot slower and there's usually shallow water tidal pools to play in as well.
Cape May has a lot of other things to do besides the beach as well. The Cape May County Zoo is great, and free (you can provide a donation.) The Cape May Mall is very stroller friendly and has lots of shops. Tons of restaurants, bars, breweries, and our personal favorite Nauti Spirits Distillery down there as well.

Finger Lakes, NY. Great wineries, fun downtowns, plenty of hiking. If you bring kids, the children's museum in Ithaca is fantastic.

Does that work? It's hard to share because the Google link is a direct download.

I hope this changes, this system is so archaic.
I went Googling and NJ posts an excel spreadsheet of all of the liquor license holders in the state. I was surprised to see that in my township, we have an inactive consumption license which is owned by the same person who has a distribution license for the only liquor store in our township. They've been holding the retail consumption license hostage since 2013, presumably to force people to their liquor store. That feels wrong to me.

I wonder if those ~5 days we had of consistent sub-freezing temps between Christmas and New Years this year was enough? I found a tick on my dog the other day which was pretty concerning, but I heard lanternfly eggs don't last long in sub-freezing temps.
