Nimbys is a problem throughout the state. It was the tech surge that made moderately priced houses into million dollar starter homes in a few years in SF.

Recently we have been required to have specific safeguards in place to be approved. They were very specific and required more money being invested in security. If we didn’t adhere to said list we would have been dropped

Japan has far more automation than the US when it comes to every day life and they don’t have problems with paying human workers. From food vendor cafes to hotels. Why in the US, is this used as a threat to increasing pay or better working conditions?
