I was going to mention Paths of Glory. That one kind of takes the cake.

I love to rewatch this movie from time to time. It has such a specific style and weird tone to it. I kind of love it - Snake in WonderLAnd

I like this idea. Have you ever seen The Hunted with Benicio and Tommy Lee?

I loved what GDT did with Nightmare Alley. I love all old noir films, but the violence sometimes feels so dated, which can mute the climax. I can't think of any examples to remake, but I just thought what he did felt so potent. I mean he usually punctuates his endings with violence, which is why maybe it fit so naturally into his oeuvre.

It's not bad. It's just weak by comparison to it's predecessors.

Yeah Norton is always the first thing that comes to mind.
Would perhaps add Jennifer Lawrence in Winter's Bone.

Good catch. I said pretty much haha. No. That movie is in like my top ten. Same as Star Trek: First Contact.
Shit you know what - i retract my statement. I still regularly revisit these films:
Congo, Chain Reaction, The Ghost and the Darkness, Air Force One, The Edge, U.S. Marshals, The Mummy, The Sum of All Fears. Hollow Man.
