There are so many causes of insomnia, it is not purely psychological. That's like saying stomach aches are "very much psychological".
Chronic insomnia may also be associated with medical conditions or the use of certain drugs.
Medical conditions. Examples of conditions linked with insomnia include chronic pain, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, asthma, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), overactive thyroid, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
Sleep-related disorders. Sleep apnea causes you to stop breathing periodically throughout the night, interrupting your sleep. Restless legs syndrome causes unpleasant sensations in your legs and an almost irresistible desire to move them, which may prevent you from falling asleep.

Even with the migration, I'll bet most people will settle in southern Maine and that won't bring infrastructure changes further north. It'll probably become one gross giant city from Providence to Portland.

>driving will always be more convenient
If I want to get from home in Unity to visit family in NH and back, I need a 45 minute car ride from someone to a bus that takes 3 1/4 hours with five stops, or a 1 1/2 hours ride to a train that takes almost 2 hours with 4 stops, then with either, another 45 minute car ride from someone- EACH WAY. Between tickets and gas, it costs $35-95.
If I drive myself, it's a bit over a 5 hour round trip that costs about $30 in gas.
I don't expect Maine to ever have good public transportation because we just don't have the population to support it, but damn, it would be nice.

Heck, are there enough to justify Brunswick as the end of the line? Whenever I've taken it from Portland to Dover, it's at about 10% capacity.

Do you get the music streaming service though? That's why I pay. The no ads on YouTube is just a bonus.

YouTube premium is totally worth it. We have the family plan, 6 accounts total, just went from $18 to $25 and I still think it's worth it. YouTube Music is the best music streaming platform I've found, the algorithms are on point, and NO ADS on YouTube.

Our bear showed up to eat all of our fallen apples. Sounded like a huge dog crunching them up for hours. Hundreds of apples gone overnight.

The only bear I've been near in Maine was in my yard, too. All the hikes I've been on, all the time I've spent in the forest, and ended up like 10 feet away from a bear in my garden.

It can be a rough pass to get through come winter, but sure is pretty. The Eliot exit was closed for so long because of all those avalanches.

You're the second person in this thread to say this and I'm going to emulate y'all. I just did the math and realized I'm only saving about 10-20 minutes driving 70-75 on my way home, but increasing my stress a lot. I rarely have a time limit on getting home, I'm going to chill and listen to music instead of stressing over how long it's taking.

It's fine to want to end one's life in nature but there are a lot of places that aren't as public as Acadia NP. If someone really wants to give themselves back to nature, they should go up to a forest in the County where nobody will ever find them.
