I never saw the original show other than snippets in passing and actually didn't realize it was a book series before that until reading comments here. Loved the first season but I enjoyed the PI aspect more than the lawyer stuff, but I'd be happy with a meeting in the middle of those things. The one thing I knew about Perry Mason the property going in was that it was some sort of courtroom drama, so I was expecting it to come in at some point. My feelings on the first season only soured when I thought it wasn't going to get a second season and they spent all that time doing a prequel. Now that it's going forward, that's no longer an issue for me.

The problem is largely just that the refund you get back is not big enough for the amount of effort you have to put in, and that's true right now. Most aluminum recyclers here in Washington are paying about 30-45 cents a pound for scrap aluminum. I saved soda, beer and energy drink cans for nearly two straight years in bags in a storage space in my apartment, then loaded the bags up in my car and took them to a recycler only to get $4.50 for my two years of work.

It didn't hurt me to do it, and I like that I directly contributed to recycling that metal instead of it going to a landfill, but the amount of effort I put in for 15 pounds of cans to get less than $5 means it's not really worth the time or money to be doing that myself.

I remember in my city the first couple months of stores being open my preferred stores had card readers and it was so easy. The day they had to switch to cash only and install an ATM was so annoying. It's such a huge industry and we've crossed 10 years of legality now...it makes no sense to be still back in the dark ages like this.

Mine are almost always an ouroboros, as Spotify just seems to take whatever playlists I already listen to and then sort them into common-denominator auto mixes, using the exact songs from those playlists.
