Reply to comment by a4mula in ChatGPT isn't a super AI. But here's what happens when it pretends to be one. by johnny0neal
Similarly, humans have no thoughts or beliefs. We simply have a neural network that takes inputs and generates outputs that make it appear as though we do. Thinking otherwise is dangerous.
I’m being snarky as ChatGPT and the human brain really aren’t comparable in sophistication.
But what is actually dangerous is holding the view that we are more than input/output machines. It’s the reason people go on acting as though some people aren’t worthy of help and some people earned all of their accidental success.

Is that supposed to convince us that it was a dumb idea for you to write an accurate statement over a sensational one because it took you all of six sentences?

Reply to We've had public access to ChatGPT for 3 months now. Has anyone made any actual profitable business or quality thing with it? by eratonnn
I think this is similar to asking “Stack Overflow just came out. Have any developers actually made any profitable businesses with it?”
Except whereas Stack Overflow applies to developers, ChatGPT applies to more or less everything.
