This was the house we bought. The Realtor/Interior Decorator/Wife of the couple we bought it from shiplapped about a third of the walls and luckily only 1 barn door and a wall for a pocket door that 3x times winder than it needs to be (like how much pumpkin spice you need to hide?) We flattened the walls nearly perfectly, added Ikea complements to the master wall and switched the barn door to a homemade magic door (hidden mount hardware). The next owner will probably say how tacky it is on Reddit 😅 https://imgur.com/a/Pa3v9y4
To be fair, there is one spot where I think the shiplap looks good and we keot that piece.

If the speakers are 20 years old, it may be a good time to replace them. We had higher end JBLs in the roof for surround sound, but the heat of the attic really wore them out.
Replaced them with $70 set monoprice speakers and the sound quality was noticably better. I built an insulated box to protect this one a little more from heat cycling.
