Hmmm. I usually go with the classical plural for latin based terms, but I have certainly seen both. OED gives both plurals as acceptable.

But I appreciate the comment. I used to do a lot of proofreading. Reddit can be painful sometimes.

In this sense it's more of a descriptor than a plural. Almost everyone has either 1 or 0.

I suppose I would be more proper to say "People with a uterus."

Ding ding ding. I'm a banquet fan. Coors light just gives the whole brand a bad name. They've stopped making it, but if you ever find it, check Coors Extra Gold. It's banquet that they just give a few extra days to in the tank. Good stuff.

They stopped making it during Covid because it's low volume and they needed the aluminum for the better selling varieties.

Yes. You notice how I cleverly added "ignoring the time factor". There are near Earth asteroids, but I don't know the density or types. In today's world you can't make an investment with a 45 year payback.

If we could develop vehicles that didn't need low-energy orbits we could.. but that takes a space infrastructure that would take the resource we need. It's a total bootstrap problem.

While I love the idea, I have to ask. I've never actually run the numbers, but wouldn't asteroid mining be even more efficient?

Let's ignore the time factor for a Holman orbit to those asteroids and assume we are thinking long term. It seems the total energy outlay (which is really what all space travel is about) is much smaller per tonne to move a small asteroid into lunar orbit or HEO than it would be even to boost it from the moon.

And they come in all flavors: carbon based, ferric, silicates, ice, probably heavy metals, but we really haven't looked for them yet. What do you need and put 10,000 tonnes of it into orbit.

Well let's stay focused here. Yes the cow dung and cow urine things are pretty silly. But this kid is being given life in prison for attempting to kill a food animal. They don't kill animals.

I know more than a couple young people in US cities, struggling to pay their rent who have started gofundme pages or gone into debt to pay for their 3rd cat's kidney surgery. My nextdoor neighbor paid for 2 cancer surgeries for her 13 year old dog. He had chemo to the point where they installed a port.

Respect for animal life takes many forms. Let's not go calling people we disagree with stupid.

Gas? Electric? Wall or stove combo? With cooktop or just oven?

And most importantly are you doing a remodel and if not, what width? I ask this because most of your real BIFL ovens will not be in the US 30" standard format.

imho you don't want commercial as that might require special permits and possibly some extra hardware (hoods, halon). The easy first filter is "pro-quality" not commercial.

I don't see one. The only possibility I see is a very global huge disaster. If huge amounts of every nation are not wiped out, the ones not affected will simply use the opportunity. to move in on the others. That applies to every internal and external conflict. I love science fiction too.

Maybe a massive dose of MDMA thrown into every water supply in the world. That's literally the most practical method I can think of.

At the price point there is nothing better.

I had like 3 pair I bought for about $10 each in the 70s, and wore them all through college. I was such a rebel I wouldn't wear blue jeans. They still had a press crease when I graduated.
