look for corporate copywriting jobs. kinda why I stepped away from my English major is, despite my enjoyment of language and linguistics, job prospects were less ideal for the sorta life I wanted to live. but copywriting for businesses, editing/proofreading memos and website or maybe even marketing copy, all of these are skills that pretty much any large business could utilize.

which is a pretty big red flag on its own, especially this time of year. crazy how they've been possibly allegedly doing this for years but never had the common sense to look into diy ventilation systems lol.

I'm a rigger and have worked several shows there over the years. the ceiling is incredibly awkward to hang shows effectively, requiring common use of a very uncommon technique that might only ever need regular use in maybe one or two other venues in the country, from what I've been told. hopefully they're doing some work up in the ceiling as well lol.

yeeeah, I don't work in suppression systems but have worked with fire for years and now work event production in venues like this. there are other types of fire suppression that aren't classic sprinklers and aren't nearly as visible/noticeable. lack of sprinklers doesn't at all mean a total lack of fire suppression. and I'm not sure how they'd know the building's ventilation situation unless they had access to some the areas where I usually work or have seen a blueprint of the building, which should be available to the public I'd think? but simply going to a show isn't gonna show you what's upstairs, in fact that stuff is generally intended to be hidden or difficult to see for the same reasons we wear black backstage.

if you kept the vent system running the whole time, you're a) burning money on power and b) no point in using fog effects which are ridiculously omnipresent in almost any production these days.

it's class 3 electric bicycle, tops out at 28 without assistance. it's legally considered a bicycle, don't think insurance companies can redefine that. class 1 tops at 10 mph, class 2 at 20, class 3 at 28 iirc.

hence me just ordering the kryptonite new York. that lock was really just intended for quick runs into a shop where it was usually still in view, I was just stressed and pressed for time and didn't use my abus u-lock and cable, since I was planning on riding it not long after locking it and didn't feel like breaking out the cover either.

saw kryptonite has cement anchors too, wish id have checked their site out earlier. what little space there is in front of my apartment, could have definitely still worked that.

yeeeah, I had just started looking into those, but hadn't had time to do the appropriate research and comparative shopping. I'm on Android, tile works there too? is it only Bluetooth connected like the old tiles or does it have a GPS tracker now? 'cause what I'd really like is a tag I can find with GPS later, I've seen some with magnets to put under your car (or I suppose be a totally creepy stalker lol), even something like that secured and hidden well would be rad. also stickers on the underside in difficult to remove spots for ID might be good too.

you totally right though. that and the damn $170 kryptonite lock I just ordered oughtta be helpful in the future lol...

edit: looks like there are some for dogs and cats that could be perfect haha.

my vestibule is too small to still let my neighbors leave. hence why I was asking for a bike hook to be installed a month ago, since it's horizontal size would take up minimal space.

btw, I really can't do that regardless since the bike was just stolen lol.

and you're not wrong about DC except im moving into a full house with a yard and plenty of space to store a bike indoors.
