Including the person you're responding to. C'mon, don't back down now.

I feel that a lot of organizations -- primarily governmental and medicinal -- are taking advantage of our Covid hangover. Doctors are slow to get back to face-to-face appts., government workers don't answer phones, appts. are often scheduled months out when they really don't have to be. Minor civic interactions such as appealing a traffic ticket seem more complicated and confusing.
Many of these things were bad before, but now forget about it.

All closed? Hmm. I don't go to Starbuck's, so lost track, but those are the ones I was counting.

Pinocchio's, Harvard Square. Decent, basic sub shop.

Which Starbuck's did they go to? Since one recently opened in the lobby of the old Curious George, I think there are now like four in the Square. LOL, but true. And ridiculous.
Anyway, every generation has its own memories of Harvard Square. When I was about 16 and living in upstate NY, I visited a friend whose family had moved to Orange and we drove across the state just to hang out in Harvard Square. Much later, I have now lived near the Square for 25 years.
I've seen a lot of changes, but I try not to get too wistful about the way things used to be.
Rather, I like to say that the one constant in Harvard Square going back to its beginning in 1630 is the complaining about change, and I'd rather live in a place where change is pretty constant rather than rare.

Just guessing. I've always wanted to try Celebrity Ice Cream on Mount Auburn St. in Watertown across from that old Sears building (now Tufts). Looks to me like they'd have a good milkshake.

I'll let others answer your question, but just as an aside: I got a call the other day from a woman with a heavy Southern accent who asked me if I wanted CVS to start giving me three-month supplies of my prescriptions. I said yes and braced myself for the sales pitch, and she said okay have a nice day. It seemed strange, but I appreciate it.

Do you think that's a legit photo of a typical day, or some kind of bicycle rally or protest? I just can't imagine people being that civil in their daily commute.

I don't know about buildings, but there is a nice view of Boston from the highest point in Mount Auburn Cemetery and good views including Cambridge from Prospect Hill near Union Square, Somerville.

You could go to the Good News Garage and do that whole MIT thing, or you could take a drive out to Waltham and go to Long Life Auto and do that whole Harvard thing.
