They are distorted. Its just a very minor effect. Take your Andromeda numbers, the 110000 difference would be between the front and back, but that wouldn't be a visible distortion because it would be along the axis of vision. if you look at the difference in time between the center and the edges, you get something like sqr( 55000 ) + sqr( 2000000 ) = 4,003,025,000,000, √( 4003025000000 ) ÷ 2000000 =1.00037805353776129308527162 so the light on the edge would be .03% older.

I think that explanation also fails(for me). They had to have some original plan before he showed up. Counting on him showing up would be insane. Changing their plan at the last minute to one where they know incorrect information instead of wrong information just seems overly risky.

In my first comment I literally said that they have an episode left, I just can't imagine how they will explain it in a way that satisfies me. They are presumably better writer than I am though, so hopefully I'm proven wrong.

There is a glaring plot hole that I don't see a possible resolution for, but they do still have 1 episode left.

As another comment said, I think most people would agree that most of his work through 2009 was good to great, maybe with a movie here or there being excluded (His Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is dogshit imo). But then he's just had basically all misses from 2010 forward. And not like, near misses, they are basically all awful. The only exception in that time period is the frankenweenie remake/extension.
