I don’t get why people are optimistic about an EXTREMELY early prototype from a company that has made outlandish promises about products in multiple industries (cybertruck, boring co, self driving ai) that it has repeatedly failed to meet deadlines/promises with.
The easy part is making a convention prototype that just walks around in a controlled environment. It is so far from anything worth being optimistic about, especially compared to other industry leaders, in addition to coming from a company that has historically been disingenuous at best about multiple industries.
“But it’s only after a year!” Yeah most companies work on things internally for many years before going public, it’s incredibly naive to imagine this presentation was anything but a ploy for investment given the current state of the product vs the promised end use.
